Courses at Master’s level


Language of instruction

Most courses at the Freie Universität Berlin are conducted in German. Your German level will have to be European language certificate B.1.1 – in accordance with the Council of Europe scale to be able to succesfully study at FUB. More information.

Housing assistance

It is advised by the Freie Universität Berlin to start looking for accommodation as soon as you know you are accepted on exchange as it can be difficult to find accommodation.
