You’re either just starting your thesis or you’ve been working on your (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) thesis study for a while. It doesn’t matter what academic programme you’re in.

For one week, you will be working on your thesis under our supervision from 8.30 a.m. until 5 p.m. This will help you establish a working schedule, put a real dent in your workload and introduce you to other students who, like you, are writing their theses.

We can’t offer knowledge specific to your field of study, but we will share our expertise in workshops or webinars on (for example):

• Stress-free writing: how to plan your thesis
• Dealing with your supervisor
• The writing process
• Finding and critically analysing relevant literature and sources

Moreover, Skills Lab writing tutors will be present to help you with the structure of your text, your planning, your thesis design and any other thesis-related questions you might have.

The exact program for this week will be announced later on. 

You will be working on your thesis under our supervision from 8.30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Each day we provide you with a start-up to get you going, a workshop or webinar in the afternoon and some time for reflection and planning at the end of the day. And of course, we close out the week with drinks to celebrate the steps we have made. 

This Thesis Week will run from Monday 16 May through Friday 20 May 2022 at the University Library at Utrecht Science Park.

On location 
The thesis week takes place on location, because being in a different and stimulating environment in combination with being among peers contributes tremendously to the success of this week.
